Nephilim and the Origin of Genetic Evil

After recently spending a good five weeks teaching a series of lessons on the Biblical account of the Nephilim, there have been several requests for the full series of notes related to the study. If this is your first time reading and studying about the Nephilim, I would suggest a bit of preparatory scripture study.
Some Key Scriptures you should study to prepare for this teaching:
Gen 6, Job 1-2, 2 Peter 2, Jude vs 6 & 2 Cor 5:2
Word studies - Nephilim (translated giant - root "nephiyl") Sons of God (root - Benei HaElohim)
In order to address the assertion of our findings on this study, it is necessary to look at the alternate view. I presented the Sethite (Sons of Seth) Doctrine commonly taught in seminary today as well as what I believe is the more scripturally supported Fallen Angels Doctrine, to describe who these Sons of God were.
Sons of Seth theory claims that the “sons of God” mentioned in Genesis Chapter Six are the good sons of Seth; and the “daughters of MEN” are the wicked daughters of Cain. This theory is a very recent theological invention that dates back only a few hundred years. There is very little scriptural support (if any) for this. The Hebrew term for “sons of god” is Benei HaElohim. Benei is the root for son/offspring and Elohim refers to divine beings or the Supreme Divine Being (God). If the text was intended to convey the sons of man, the word would/should have been Sons of Adam (the same word translated “men” when referring to the daughters). If referring to the sons of Seth we would expect to see the phrase
Benei HaSheth or Benei HaAdam instead of Benei HaElohim
Likewise, to specify the daughters of Cain, the text could have easily said Bat Qayin and not Bat Adam, clearly distinguishing them as daughters of a SPECIFIC man and not mankind in general (ADAM).
Another question to ask when considering this line of thinking is - if the Sons of Seth are the "good guys", then why are they the ones doing the wrong thing by forcefully taking wives of the daughters of Cain? and if they were the culprits, how do kissing cousins produce a group of men that are described as being as tall as cedar trees? and how, subsequently, does this result in the corruption of all flesh? These are just some of the many problematic difficulties presented by the Sethite Theory.
To validate the idea that the Sons of God are indeed divine beings (referring to a direct creation of God) we must look to how this term Benei HaElohim is used elsewhere in the scriptures.
"Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them." (Job 1:6)
"Again there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them to present himself before the LORD." (Job 2:1)
Now, if we are to claim that the sons of God are men, then we have an issue between Job and 1 John 1:18 - "No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him." This verse tells us that NO MAN has seen God at ANY time.
Job 38:4-6 provides an additional witness. The context is God communicating with Job and saying basically, where were you when I created everything? Vs 6 continues this thought with “When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?”
If we still weren’t certain that these sons of God are angels, then the New Testament witnesses should seal the deal:
2 Peter 2:4-5 "For if God spared not the ANGELS that sinned, but cast them down to hell (Tartarus), and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;"
Jude 6 - "And the ANGELS which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day."
Genesis 3 - The Seed War Begins
After Adam & Eve sin by partaking of the forbidden fruit in the Garden of Eden, we see the first prophecy in the Bible in Genesis 3.
"And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:
And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel."
From this time forward, we see the forces of Satan doing everything in their power to corrupt a pure bloodline from which the Savior of mankind would be born.
Matthew 24 - As in the days of Noah, so will be the days of the coming of the Son of Man
In the gospel of Matthew, the disciples are asking Jesus about the end of days and His return. Jesus likens that time to the days of Noah, and also to the time of Sodom & Gomorrah.
So, what are some distinctions about these two incidences that might separate them? Very clearly the context is about the swift judgment of the wicked and preservation of the righteous. There is much debate as to what that wickedness was exactly. We do know from the Bible and other historical texts that this wickedness likely included some sort of sexual immorality in addition to a general state of depravity, violence, extreme inhospitality and lawlessness.
This leads us to the condition of the world described in Genesis 6:
"And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,
That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose."
I have established the assertion that Sons of God is referring to angels, in this case fallen angels. The exact details on the physics of how this occurred is somewhat of a mystery, but there is plenty of proof in the scriptures that angels walk amongst us, oftentimes unbeknownst to us. Time and time again in the scriptures angels are referred to as men. Abraham entertained three angels, two of which went on to Sodom to remove Lot from the pending judgment. They apparently ate a meal, so there is no doubt to the physical manifestation ability of at least a certain class/type of angel. Joshua meets the “Captain of the Host of the LORD” who he apparently believes to be a man. The men of Sodom certainly believed the two angels who came to warn and remove Lot were physical enough to interact with on a very personal level. So, there is no reason not to believe that, even if it is not their natural form, angels could take on the physical characteristics of a human including all parts necessary for sustenance and reproduction. The most evident example of this would be Jesus Himself who would have divine and human DNA, and clearly manifested in a physical human form.
"There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown."
We see from this scripture that the children that were born became ‘gibborim’ or mighty men. This term is not isolated to giants or nephilim. King David’s warriors were also referred to as gibborim, but these offspring were singled out as being very mighty. Now if this is just the normal offspring of kissing cousins, it would not seem that there should be anything unique about these children. However, even the Septuagint (Greek from Hebrew Translation) translators chose to use the Greek word “gigantes” or giants for the Hebrew “gibborim”. These were no ordinary children.
"And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart."
A side-effect of this divine fallen nature mixing with a terrestrial fallen nature was apparently great wickedness and violence. Other ancient extra-biblical texts explain how the fallen ones taught mankind all matter of forbidden knowledge, including weapon-making and the art of warfare. We live in a fallen world, but to say that EVERY thought of the hearts of men were evil and wicked CONTINUALLY, is quite the statement.
"And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them."
Here we get some interesting additional information. We see that because of what happened earlier, ALL flesh had been corrupted. This apparently included birds and land animals. This opens up some very interesting paths. Could the angels have also tried to do the same thing they did with women to the animals? It’s not out of the realm of possibility, but there is another potential scenario as well. That is, that the angels not only messed with and mixed seed with humans, but they also mixed the seed of animals through some sort of genetic hybridization, thus corrupting God’s original declaration and intent that all creatures reproduce after their own KIND. As we think of modern-day science that includes genetic manipulation, GMO food, hybridization of animal species, it’s not all that far off from the Days of Noah.
"But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD. These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God."
Here we find an additional clue regarding the state of the world at this time. Note how it does say that he was a just (or righteous) man, but it goes on to specifically point out that he was PERFECT in his GENERATIONS (i.e. genealogy). Noah’s genetics had not been corrupted. Although the Bible doesn’t tell us, there are extra-biblical texts and Jewish rabbinic sources that tell us that Noah took his wife Naamah from the lineage of Lamech (on Cain’s side). There are many other texts speak to the wives of Noah and His sons, however, due to the post-flood confusion of languages at Babel, it is difficult to piece them together. It can be reasonably inferred that Noah’s wife was also pure from genetic corruption in order to preserve the bloodline of the Messiah.
**As a quick note, I have mentioned the use of extra-biblical texts such as the books of Jasher, 1 Enoch and Jubilees as well as rabbinic commentary to gain some additional insight into the Genesis 6 narrative; at the very least to understand what they believed regarding the Genesis account. It is critical to mention, however, that any time we go outside of the Biblical scriptures for information, we must approach it with the attitude that - anything that disagrees with or contradicts the Bible must be reconciled or thrown out. We are not as certain with the sources, integrity and timing of all of these texts, but many were found alongside the Dead Sea Scrolls which also contained copies and fragments of canonized scripture. Where these texts do agree with the Biblical text, they often provide additional information that is helpful in reconstructing the full narrative, and for the most part they do harmonize with the Genesis account.**
From these texts, we read that the “Sons of God” desired to have offspring in their own image. Genesis tells us that God made mankind in His image. We read that the first generation Nephilim (initial offspring of angel/human breeding) were to kill each other off over a period of 500 years, and once this occurred, the angels were bound and buried in the earth for 70 generations. We see this stylized in the Greek mythology as the Clash of the Titans. The Titans were destroyed by the Olympians and sent to Tartarus (the same greek word used in the NT referring to the location of these fall angels (2 Peter 2:4).
"When their sons have slain one another, and they have seen the destruction of their beloved ones, bind them fast for seventy generations under the hills of the earth, until the day of judgment is accomplished." (1 Enoch 10:12)
During this period of time, it is reasonable that they would have continued to procreate, leaving subsequent generations of Nephilim that would be more diluted than the first, and leading to the situation referenced in the Bible as all flesh having been corrupted in Genesis 6.
These texts also show us that there was corruption of animal flesh as well. The texts of Jasher expound on this situation:
And their judges and rulers went to the daughters of men and took their wives by force from their husbands according to their choice, and the sons of men in those days took from the cattle of the earth, the beasts of the field and the fowls of the air, and taught the mixture of animals of one species with the other, in order therewith to provoke the Lord; and God saw the whole earth and it was corrupt, for all flesh had corrupted its way on the earth, all men and all animals. (Jasher 4:18)
So we see here that one of the issues related to the animals was hybridization, mixing species. We know from the Genesis text that God created all creatures to reproduce AFTER THEIR KIND. We don’t know the extent of this mixing of seed, but we know that it was at least the mixture of animal species. It could possibly even have included mixing of human and animal DNA. Could this have been the source of the imagery we see in the Greek mythology with ½ man ½ beast creatures such as satyrs, centaurs, minotaurs, etc.? Something to consider. Take a look a where science is today with GMO, gene splicing, artificial inception, cloning, etc. and you will see that these concepts are not as far out as they may seem at first.

Gigantic neolithic structures all over the world
The Temple at Baalbek
Stonehenge-type structures throughout the world
Giza pyramids and pyramids throughout the world
Scientists, architects, engineers, etc. admit that we STILL have no idea how ancient civilizations could cut, shape, move and stack the enormous structures that we see remnants of today. Even with the most precise lasers and most powerful cranes, we have no way to reproduce what we see in the ancient building record. Because of this, we have to surmise ideas of ancient aliens and off-world technology to explain them. When we consider the Biblical record of the Nephilim, and the divine knowledge of fallen angels imparted to mankind, it becomes much more explainable within the realm of biblical text.
Post-Flood Giants & Demons
The Bible record is very clear that there were giants post-flood, most notably in the land of Canaan, but they also existed heavily in Crete (where the Greek myths come out of) and areas of Egypt, Arabia, etc, as well as throughout all ancient civilizations. So the question that must be answered is.....where did these post-flood giants come from?
There are a few explanations to consider:
1) Multiple incursions of angels mating with human women
2) Some survived the flood somehow, possibly taken up from the earth
3) The knowledge of genetic manipulation was preserved and re-discovered post-flood
4) Nephilim genetics passed through the flood, most likely via one or more of the wives of Noah's sons. (except Shem's)
I went into to detail as to why I believe option #3 or #4 is the most likely, however we really don't know for certain.
Numbers 13 tells us where they came from. They were Nephilim sons of Anak (long-neck) that came from the Nephilim (referring to the originals), thusly pointing us to a Nephilim bloodline tracing back from Anak to Arba to Amorius and back through to Canaan and Ham.
Genesis 10 reiterates this bloodline telling us of the lineage of Ham > Mizraim > Casluhim > Philistim showing us that the lineage of Goliath the Philistine goes back to Ham as well.
There was something not quite right about the genetics going on in the line of Ham, whether these genetics passed through the flood or were somehow re-discovered afterwards. We do read in Genesis of a situation where Ham “saw His father’s nakedness” and subsequently Canaan was cursed. This opens up a wide variety of scholarly debate as to what exactly happened in the tent and why was Canaan cursed as a result and not Ham? The theories range from sodomy with His father to incest with His mother, to just simply what the text says “he saw” it, but that is a whole other rabbit trail.
A couple of notable post-flood giants are Og King of Bashan of course Goliath of Gath. Og comes from a specific tribe of giants called the Rephaim.
"For only Og king of Bashan remained of the remnant of giants (rephaim); behold, his bedstead was a bedstead of iron; is it not in Rabbath of the children of Ammon? nine cubits was the length thereof, and four cubits the breadth of it, after the cubit of a man." (Deut 3:11)
"And there went out a champion out of the camp of the Philistines, named Goliath, of Gath, whose height was six cubits and a span." (1 Sam 17:4)
Take note of the descriptions of these two giants. For Og, we are given the dimensions of his bed only to be nine cubits. Nobody knows the true definition of the cubit used by the Hebrews at this time, but it was believed to be somewhere between 18-25 inches. This would make Og’s single-person bed 13.5-18+ feet in length, 5.5-8 feet wide and made of wrought iron to hold up to the intense weight. Typically a person’s bed is just a bit longer and wider than the individual. So by extrapolation we have a man that is probably in the range of 12-16+ feet tall. Goliath is listed at just a little over six cubits or 9.5-12ft tall. So we see evidence of the stature of these giants lessening over the course of time, presumably as a result of the dilution of the giant/nephilim gene pool.
These are some of the last biblical mentions of the giants, however that does not automatically presume their demise. Remember that Joshua was tasked with driving out the inhabitants of the land of Canaan, which would have included many of these tribes of giants. It is very likely that word of Israel's conquests spread quickly and that some of these tribes fled to other lands and even overseas. Those who remained were obliterated at the command of YHVH (the LORD) under Joshua and later King David. This is important to note that the people groups that the Israelites were conquering were almost certainly related to the Nephilim. By understanding this history, it is much easier to explain God’s commands to wipe out these groups of “people”, men, women, children and animals. The denial of the fallen angels and the corruption of all flesh leaves you wondering about an Old Testament God who appears to be a schizophrenic genocidal maniac.
As we consider the giant legends on other continents, most notably in the Far East as well as the Americas, we see that the impact of the nephilim truly was worldwide.
Looking back at our four initial proposed explanations for post-flood giants:
1) 2nd incursion of angels mating with human women
If the initial result of this process was giants as tall as cedar trees, then there should be no reason that the post-flood giants would not have been the same. Yet, what we see in the post-flood text record is a gradual diminishing in stature.
According to the ancient texts of 1 Enoch, the punishment for this offense was that the angels were bound and buried in the earth (Tartarus) for 70 generations, until the time of judgment. The severity of this punishment likely would deter it from happening again, at least in the original sense of physical copulation.
2) Some survived the flood somehow, possibly taken up from the earth
Many other flood mythologies, including such like the popular Epic of Gilgamesh, claim that giants somehow survived the flood. While this seems to make sense, it poses several issues with the Biblical narrative.
God makes a point in stating that the flood covered the highest mountains and even 15 cubits over the tops. We believe the reason for this is to show that there is no way even the giants would have survived.
Either you have to argue for a localized flood, which just isn’t supported by the biblical texts.
Or you have to argue that somehow some of the giants were not “on the earth” at the time of the flood and that somehow the rebelling angels preserved them as the Biblical text clearly states that only 8 souls were brought through the flood.
3) The knowledge of genetic manipulation was preserved and re-discovered post-flood
The extra-biblical book of Jubilees gives an account of Kainam (Kainan), son of Arphaxad and great grandson of Noah (Gen 11) And he found a writing which former (generations) had carved on the rock, and he read what was thereon, and he transcribed it and sinned owing to it; for it contained the teaching of the Watchers in accordance with which they used to observe the omens of the sun and moon and stars in all the signs of heaven. (Jubilees 8).
Now if this pre-flood knowledge was preserved, it is possible that other knowledge, possibly in regards to the genetic manipulation going on pre-flood, was also preserved in like fashion.
4) Nephilim genetics passed through the flood, most likely via one or more of the wives of Noah's sons. (except Shem's)
I currently lean to this explanation and/or the previous one.
The main issue with this concept, is God’s allowing of the tainted DNA to continue and would seem to contradict the intent of the flood
However, we know that God allows evil to exist, therefore this wouldn’t be totally out of the realm of His character.
Noah was 601 years old after all, and re-populating the earth would seem to be more than a one-man job, especially at such an age It is possible that a certain amount of genetic diversity would be required to avoid issues related to close inbreeding, however we know that inter-family marriages still occurred during this period.
To be fair to Noah’s sons, who were also the recipients of God’s grace, it would seem necessary to allow them to take wives, even if the stock of the wives was not perfect as Noah’s
Next, we tackled the issue of demons (commonly referred to as unclean spirits). We see them being tossed out of people left and right by Messiah and His disciples, but what are they and where do they come from? The canonized scriptures don't clearly explain this, but we have some information given in the ancient text of 1 Enoch. Again, bear in mind that the sources and authenticity of such texts are not as clear as those of the Biblical scriptures, but where they do not conflict with the Bible, they can often add information and context.
The book of 1 Enoch (Ch 15) tells us that evil spirits are the disembodied spirits of the Nephilim. Being neither wholly divine nor wholly terrestrial in nature, they are an abomination that was never meant to exist, and thusly are stuck in a state of limbo between the two worlds. Having both the fallen nature of man and the fallen nature of angels who rebelled, these entities wreak havoc on mankind without remorse.
It is important to note that Jesus gave His disciples command over these spirits and we believe His followers also have power over them in the name and authority of Jesus. HOWEVER, spiritual warfare is serious business, and not something one should just charge into unprepared. We have several accounts in the scriptures of those who attempted to do so and were overcome. (See Acts 19, Matt 17, Mark 9) Some people are called into and prepared for a type of deliverance ministry....most are not!
Acts 8:7, Acts 19:12 Many diseases are attributed to unclean spirits
Other unclean spirits are named/described in the Scriptures:
Fear - 2 Tim 1:7
Devils - 16:14
Error - 1 John 4:6
Seduction - 1 Tim 4:1
Slumber - Rom 11:8
Bondage - Rom 8:15
Evil Acts - 19:12-16
Divination - Acts 16:16
Infirmites/Disease/Plagues/Sickness Acts 5:16, 8:7, Luke 4:33, Luke 7:21
Dumb/Deaf Mark 9:17-26
Knowing that these evil spirits are at work in the world today, it becomes critical to guard your life and your family from demonic activity. While this delves into a spiritual world that we can hardly comprehend, it should be understood that we have the ability, either purposefully or by accident, to open up portals/doors to demonic activity in our lives. Anything that would be related to the spirits as previously listed could be an open door or invitation into your life. This could include things like statues (graven images), occultic rituals, horror movies, certain music etc.
Ancient Aliens???
Several ancient cultures have this odd mythology about divine beings interacting with mankind, intermingling themselves and teaching divine (some would say forbidden) wisdom. One such group is the Sumerian and Mesopotamian legends of the Apkallu and Anunnaki
Apkallu
Pre-flood Apkallu were wholly divine
Post-flood Apkallu were mixed ancestry with humans
Dispensers of divine knowledge to humans
This was viewed positively by Mesopotamians (Babel)
The higher god Marduk is displeased
Original offending Apkallu sent to the Abyss by Marduk, kicked out of the council
Hybrid Apkallu were giants
Apkallu story elements also present in classical Greek mythology
(You can search for Dr. Michael Heiser's work titled "Reversing Hermon" for additional research.)
Anunnaki - very similar stories in the Mesopotamian culture and the Sumerian tablets such as the Epic of Gilgamesh that are similar in tone to the Apkallu. In modern sci-fi lore, some believe that the Anunnaki come from a planet called Nibiru that is in an abnormal orbit in our solar system and only intersects with Earth every few millennia. This tale is accredited mainly to Zecharia Sitchin whose work has been mostly discredited by many scientists and academics.
How do we reconcile the modern phenomenon of UFOs and ETs with a biblical worldview?
Commonalities with Genesis 6:
- Scientific experimentation of a sexual nature
- Due to the severity of the punishment from actually having sex with human women, we believe that abduction phenomenon, which largely seems to center on the human reproductive system, could somehow be a “work-around” to avoid the punishment imposed on the first group of angels.
Matthew 24 - Jesus says that the days of the coming of the Son of Man will be like the days of Noah. This could be referencing the genetic corruption occurring at that time.
Could it be that these “extra-terrestrial beings” (i.e. fallen angels and/or demons) are at it again using more scientific approaches? Could this be the pre-cursor to whatever the Mark of the Beast is? Is it possible that they are looking for ways to engineer a hybrid super-species resulting in genetically “superior” superhumans (aka mutants, aka demigods)?
Sounds a little crazy, but think about it....What has become extremely popular in Hollywood lately?
Marvel/DC superheroes (men of renown)
Hulk, genetically modified
Capt America, genetically modified
Iron Man, technologically modified
Thor, whose father Odin was a (god) and whose mother Jord (Earth)
X-Men - all genetically “mutated”, supernatural powers
Spiderman - mutated with supernatural powers
Superman, an extra-terrestrial savior
Not to mention genetic tampering and alteration of animals and crops in the name of “science”, growing human organs inside animals, growing human fetuses in artificial wombs, the list goes on and on....
Extra Dimensions/Portals/Gateways to the Supernatural
Occultist Aleister Crowley claims to have opened a portal and an entity that he named Lam came through in the early 20th century - Can you guess what it looked like? It was remarkably similar to the alien greys we see described in UFO/ET accounts today. This was 100 years ago before the big alien hype.
Another thing to consider: for nearly 6,000 years of human history we were using horse and buggy, then in the middle of the 20th century we see a massive explosion of technology including the advent of microchips, supercomputers and nuclear war. Could this be more divine knowledge imparted to mankind similar to what is described in 1 Enoch Ch. 6-8, when the Watchers taught men all sorts of wisdom including the art of weapons? Is it any coincidence that this massive expansion of technology follows an incident in 1947 that you are probably very familiar with? Around 1947 we have the Roswell (area 51) incident and all of a sudden the C.I.A. is established.
That same year the Dead Sea Scrolls are discovered in a cave in Qumran (move - countermove?) Additionally the nation of Israel is established by the U.N. A lot of events with spiritual significance going on just 70 years ago.
Numerous testimonies from believers regarding abduction or attempted abduction encounters
Claims that rebuking in the Name of Yeshua/Jesus often works!
Proof that this is not an extra-terrestrial battle but a spiritual one?
We now start to get a glimpse of what may be going on in the Book of Revelation, when it describes a “war in the heavens” and angels being cast out and down to the earth.
Angels appear to be somehow interdimensional. Jacob sees them ascending and descending a “ladder”. Stephen as he is about to die, gets a glimpse of the open heavens.
Jesus in His glorified body is able to walk through walls and suddenly appear to His disciples after His Resurrection.
However, an angelic being that has forsaken this glorified body (their first estate according to Jude 6), would likely also forfeit the ability to freely move between the heavens and the earth at will. It is also probable that they would lose their ability to “shape-shift” i.e. appear as men, and thusly would have an odd and potentially grotesque physical appearance. Are these the "grays" that are so commonly described as the picture above?
Is it conceivable then, that they would turn to technology-based solutions to achieve this? Portals, Stargates, UFOs, etc. Think back to the Genesis 11 narrative of the Tower of Babel....
The people thought they could “reach the heavens” by building this tower, yet they built it in a valley (Shinar). According to vs 6, God was apparently at least slightly concerned what could result from this endeavor. Some other extra-biblical texts claim that the people were attempting to overthrow and kill God.
Take note of the apparent spiritual significance of certain natural towers (mountains) such as Sinai, Zion/Moriah, Hermon (Watchers), Mt of Olives/Transfiguration, etc. There are significant spiritual manifestations happening on mountains throughout the scriptures.
God is obviously not concerned with the height of the tower as we have since built many taller towers that He doesn’t seem to be concerned with. Is it possible that the nature of the tower they were building was the concern? Interestingly enough, the definition of the name Ba’bel, to mean confusion by mixing came as a result of what happened in Genesis 11. The meanings of the ancient Hebrew letters BeitBeitLamed seem to signify a division of tongues, which we know happened there, but in the early Arabic language it has another interesting meaning. Bab-El means Gate of God/the gods.
Is it possible that whatever they were building there was intended to be a gateway or portal between the heavens and the earth? Consider how we find ancient ziggurat-style pyramid structures all around the earth including Africa, Antarctica and South America and that these structures were integral in the worship of the false gods of old.
The Coming Great Deception
As technology increases and the limits of the Science Fiction world seem endless in their imagination, the people of God and followers of the Messiah/Christ, must be on guard. The Vatican in Rome is already talking about how they would make provisions to baptize aliens and are also looking for an “alien” saviour using their high-powered space telescope named, of course, L.U.C.I.F.E.R., located on Mt. Graham in Tucson, AZ. (You can’t make this stuff up!)
This idea of little green men seems fantastic and harmless, but could actually be one of the most harmful things to the Christian faith. We believe and are told in the Bible that we are a unique creation, special to God, made in His image and likeness; that he cares for us on a personal level and orchestrates the events of mankind on Earth.
Mainstream society and so-called science would have us believe that mankind was an accident, a product of random chance, that a tiny spec of nothing, blew up into everything we see today; that we evolved from pond scum and are related to monkeys; that Earth is one of a billion planets and solar systems and galaxies and we are just a spec of dust on the radar.
Can you imagine the impact of a very public extra-terrestrial encounter, when a group of beings would make contact, and claim to be our creators? Can you imagine them coming and giving us advanced technology that could offer the promise of eliminating disease and illness, extended or even eternal life? All you have to do is just allow us to alter your DNA or intermingle our blood or DNA with yours.
Faith in God as we know it would be crushed. The allure of eternal life without needing a Savior to atone for our sins, can you imagine the appeal to the world? The Bible speaks of a deception so great that if possible, even the Elect would be deceived. Could this be it?
