Seek Truth

Welcome to my blog.  I hope you will find information here that will help you in your walk of faith; challenge you in your study of the scriptures; and equip you for whatever ministry the Lord calls you to.

I started this site as a bit of a personal project, desiring to simply organize my Bible studies and be able to share them with others.  In 2006, I made a personal decision to trust Y'Shua Ha Mashiach more commonly known as Jesus the Christ as my personal savior, accepting his sacrificial death on the cross as a substitutionary atonement for the sins of the world, and most importantly my sins.

Since then, I have been faithfully attending a local assembly of believers, being discipled in the scriptures and growing in grace and in the knowledge of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (2 Peter 3:18)  However, it was not until recently that I felt a strong leading to really study the scriptures for myself (2 Timothy 2:15) and not just take any man at their word, no matter how much theological training and experience they may have; but like the noble Bereans mentioned in Acts 17, searching the scriptures to see if these things be so.

My objective is to simply seek the truth, whatever it may be.  Forget religion, forget politics, forget so-called science.  There is absolute truth, and I happen to believe that truth to be God's Word; the Holy Scriptures in written form and Jesus himself as the Word become flesh.  Everything must be tested and hold up to that standard, or we must throw it out.  However, it must also be properly interpreted in the light of cultural and linguistic context.

So, I hope you find these articles informative, challenging and uplifting.  Most importantly, don't take my word for anything, but test everything for yourself as a workman that need not be ashamed, right dividing the Word of Truth.
